Arrival
We recommend arriving 15 to 30 minutes before your appointment so you may leisurely change and take advantage of our wonderful amenities.
If you have a Gift Card, please bring it with you. It must be presented at the front desk upon check-in.
Arriving late may result in a shortened appointment to prevent delays for others. The full fee will still be charged.
Please provide at least 24 hours notice for canceling or rescheduling appointments. Appointment reservation requires a credit card on file, and cancellations with less than 24-hours notice will result in a full charge of treatment.

Scheduling
When scheduling your treatment, you may request a male or female therapist if you have a preference. All of our therapists, no matter their gender, are true professionals and provide treatments that we feel confident you will enjoy.
To ensure availability of your appointment time, we suggest you schedule your next visit before leaving. A credit card is necessary for reserving an appointment.
Amenities
The eucalyptus steam room, sauna (Brier Creek only), showers, locker rooms and lounge amenities are available to enhance your Skin Sense experience. For treatments under $20, there will be a $25 fee for some amenities. A delicious spa lunch may be reserved for an additional $15. Complimentary beverages are available; however caffeine and alcohol are not served; as these can interfere with treatments.
General Information
Lockers are provided for personal belongings. We regret however that we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged belongings.
In order to provide a relaxing experience for all of our guests, we ask that you turn off all pages and cell phones. Persons not receiving spa treatments are to remain in the retail boutique area. Children should not be left unattended.
Minimum age for Bodyworks is 18 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. For younger clients, we suggest our Teens Too Spa at Brier Creek. Visit www.teenstoospa.com.
Gifts
Skin Sense Gift Cards and spa products are the perfect gift of wellness. You may purchase them at our spa boutiques, online, or by phone with a credit card. Gift Cards may be purchased for a dollar amount, a particular treatment or a spa package.
Online Booking
Schedule your Skin Sense appointment at your convenience with Online Booking. All you need is your credit card and a user ID available from our staff. Call 919.870.0700 for immediate access to Online Booking and follow the easy steps outlined on our website.
Tipping
As in most service establishments, tipping is appropriate; generally from 15 to 20% depending on how wonderful your experience was. An 18% gratuity will be automatically added for groups of four or more.

FAQ
When should I arrive for my treatments?
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your treatments as to get changed into our plush robes and slippers, fill out any necessary paperwork so that we may give you the best and most relaxing of treatments and so that you may use our complementary amenities such as our eucalyptus steam room, sauna and relaxation areas.
What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late may result in a shortened appointment tp prevent delays for the other guests, however the full fee will still be charged.
How much should I undress for my massage?
We suggest that you undress to your level of comfort. Our robes and slippers are provided for you so undergarments are optional. During your massage, you are always draped and only the areas being massaged will be exposed then re-draped.
Are there any guidelines for scheduling your appointments?
Credit cards are needed to schedule appointments much like a fine hotel. Credit cards are never charged unless you fail to follow our cancellation policy. When using a gift card, the gift card must be present at checkout.
What is good spa etiquette?
We ask that you turn off cell phones and maintain a quite voice in the spa and common areas to maintain the integrity of treatments of all guests. Smoking is not permitted in any areas of our spa.
How do I handle tipping?

How long should my hair be before waxing?
Your hair should be at least a quarter of an inch. You may trim areas before arriving leaving enough hair to wax.
Should I shave or wax the day before or the day of my body treatment?
Since both waxing and shaving exfoliate the skin, you will not want to exfoliate the area again with a scrub so refrain from both of these a least a couple of days before or after treatment.
How long should I refrain from using exfoliating products before have microdermabrasion or glycolic treatments?
Every skin is different, but you should refrain using these products at least 72 hours before treatment, also discuss care of your skin with your esthetican.
